Plug Inn derives from the urge to discover a new approach of sleeping/resting suited to the cultural, economic and social circumstances of the evolving urban context. Taking into consideration the contemporary sleeper, the main idea of our proposal is based on the instant access of sleeping. It’s not a typical hotel; it’s a reinterpretation of the hotel concept and relies on the need to sleep or rest anytime of the day.
The check-in is fast and simple, there is no reception or room service. Everything can be arranged through a mobile application. The plug inns can be attached to any built structure. Thus, they are extensions of the already built environment. Furthermore, their vertical alignment minimizes their imprint on the ground,which is already over-inhabited and over-exploited.
