Renovation study of a 48 square meters apartment (of a building dating back in 1970) intended to be used for short-time rental purposes (airbnb), in Kypseli. Through the new layout, certain masonry structures were removed, allowing the creation of a modern and well-lit open-plan space in the apartment.
The new space comprises the entrance, the kitchen and the living room. Moreover, the apartment’s steady furniture, such as the kitchen table and the wall-mounted metal construction with the wooden partition, were designed so as to optimize ergonomics. Black metal, wood and waxed concrete served as the main materials.
