Residence | Halandri
A newly built detached family house of 170 square meters, in the area of Patima in Chalandri. The residence is situated in a rather sparsely populated area, accessible only through one side of the lot. It was designed to fulfill the needs of a 4-member family.
The location within the lot allows for dual-aspect ventilation and a sufficient insolation of the building as a whole, within the context of a bioclimatic approach. The basic compositional idea was developed in two main building volumes, one in the ground floor and one in the upper floor, that intersect vertically. In their intersection, there is a large open space, as well as the two staircases that connect the three levels of the building.
The ground floor comprises the kitchen and the living room, which are directly connected to the exterior space, while the bedrooms are placed on the upper floor. The exterior space includes two parking places, the entrance, a pool and a garden with a BBQ area.
